IIR rallies industry ahead of WRD

I

n coordination with the many supporting associations and companies worldwide, the

International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) has launched a Call to Action for World Refrigeration Day (WRD). Taking place on 26 June 2019, this will be the first ever World R efrigeration Day, held with the aim of raising awareness and boosting the v isibility of the refrigeration industry. The IIR is calling for all

stakeholders to actively help in bringing the RACHP sector into the public eye by organising initiatives in their national markets.

S uch initiatives could include h olding open days at refrigeration training centres, organising a poem or a photo competition in coordination with national engineering schools, proposing initiation to refrigeration w ebinars in sign language, or visiting local schools to give the younger

generation an opportunity to discover the field.

The IIR will create and promote a directory of all the different activities that will be organised worldwide in support of this day.

Send your proposals to the IIR at i if-iir@iifiir.org with the subject Call to Action: World Refrigeration Day, by 20 May.

Proposals should include a brief description of the activity, location, time of the event and contact information.
