Foster Refrigerator
Foster Coldstores has launched Duet+, a new low noise condenser for their coldrooms, which is up to 42% quieter than the previous range. The unit benefits from a sleek modern design as well as a host of improved engineering features.
The Duet+ condenser is almost 30% more energy efficient than the previous condenser, the Duet, and could save customers up to £443 per year.
Samuel Devitt, commercial sales manager for Foster Coldstores, said: “The new unit has been designed with reliability at the heart of its design, allowing customers to focus on the running of their business with peace of mind.”
The Duet+ comes in varying specifications, all direct from the manufacturing facility in King’s Lynn. Options include housed or unhoused, high ambient, and low energy. All options come with low energy evaporators and intelligent control systems as standard.

Fujitsu
Fujitsu General Air Conditioning has extended its UK product range with the addition of Clint and Montair liquid chillers, furthering a partnership formed in November 2017 between Fujitsu General Limited and G.I Holdings for commercial business development.
Fujitsu’s new offering covers both air-cooled and water-cooled liquid chillers in heat pump and cooling-only models. Air-cooled heat pumps will range from a 15kW capacity model for small commercial applications using inverter scroll technology, through to 1.6MW screw compressor models for large commercial and industrial projects, including options of producing hot water up to 60o°C. Water-cooled heat pumps range from 49kW to 1.25 MW, with cooling-only variants using Turbocor centrifugal technology to extend ranges to 3.9MW capacity. 4-pipe hydronic connections make simultaneous operation of cooling, heating and the provision for domestic hot water possible from the ‘Energy Power’ range. Close control applications are being provided with Montair air-cooled, water-cooled and chilled water variations, covering a range of 9-155 kW capacity including both top and bottom discharge options. Integrated server cabinet cooling is also available.
Open protocol communication is included across the range, with remote web monitoring packages supplied as standard on Turbocor models. Dry coolers, hydronic modules and remote condensers complete the product line-up.

Focusing on state-of-the-art technology projects and being attentive to market trends, Embraco offers a wide range of cooling solutions for food retail, food service and merchandiser segments. Among the most popular are condensing units that combine a complete platform with
services focused on high quality and performance, while also simplifying the customer’s production process.
After listening to the needs of the market, Embraco developed Bioma, a tailor-made solution for urban areas that meets food retail and food service needs, such as easy maintenance, fast installation and space restrictions. The compact equipment is designed for cold rooms and outdoor applications with low noise level requirements, such as petrol stations, restaurants and convenience stores.
Bioma employs innovative airflow management and aesthetics with a hidden fan to prevent phantom sound. The unit achieves more than a 50% reduction in noise level compared to similar models on the market, a result made possible by the unique, squared front design and the use of only one fan in all three sizes.
With Bioma, Embraco has made great achievements in terms of design and efficiency while applying its complete range of Embraco hermetic and scroll compressors. The layout was designed to provide maximum accessibility to components, with three access doors accessible with a single key. Its stackability brings the unique possibility of capacity expansion, optimising store space.
The multi-refrigerant platform is optimised for the use of R449A and R452A, as well as options offered in R134a and R513A, running from 700W to 10kW on positive applications and 500W to 5kW on negative applications.
