J & E Hall
Six new J & E Hall commercial condensing units are playing a vital role at Warrington Hospital in Cheshire.
The JEHS-1000-B4-M3 units, supplied by Thermofrost Cryo, were chosen because of their compatibility with the air handling units inside the building.
Fusion and Fusion Scroll commercial refrigeration units are the ideal solution for commercial refrigeration sectors where noise, size and reliability are paramount. Housed in a cabinet made of electro- galvanised mild steel with an anti-corrosion treatment and coated in baked polyester powder paint, the units are able to withstand the most stringent weather testing. The integral IP54-rated control panel provides further protection for all essential electrical components. All units are acoustically lined.
The Fusion Scroll units house the extremely efficient Copeland scroll compressor and the standard Fusion range has a highly reliable reciprocating compressor fitted with a jacket in order to further reduce noise. All components are fitted during manufacture to save the installer time and money.
Both Fusion and Fusion Scroll condensing units are available for both medium and low temperature applications.

Hubbard Systems
Hubbard Systems’ Crushman 360 is a modular unit designed to be operable with any Dice or Supercube ice machine in the Scotsman range. It can turn ice cubes into crushed ice granules in seconds.
The Crushman 360 is a simple way for hospitality businesses to add flexibility and expand their offering with a variety of ice types. The Crushman is a compact unit, 245mm wide and 490mm tall, with a bin capacity of 48kg. Constructed entirely from stainless steel, it is designed to work in conjunction with ice machines in the Scotsman range and can convert 2kg Supercubes into granules in 20 seconds. At maximum production it can crush 144kg of ice in a 24-hour period. The grinding head is adjustable to three levels of granulation: fine, medium and coarse. This makes it ideal for a wide range of uses, from cocktails and ice-based drinks to storing and presenting fresh food and ingredients.
It is powered by a standard 13 Amp power socket and controlled via microswitches on the lid and door.

Lindapter
Lindapter has enhanced its product range with the AMD Decking Fixing. The Type AMD fixing has been developed to allow building services to be suspended from
AMD60 and AMD80 decking profiles made by Anglian Metal Deck. The new fixing creates genuine efficiencies for the contractor as it is installed within seconds and is adjustable on-site, without the requirement of specialist labour, expensive tools or power. The Lindapter concept delivers an economical connection method suitable for the installation of a variety of HVAC systems, fire protection, pipe work, electrical equipment and lowered ceilings. The AMD wedge is designed to fit inside the dovetail re-entrant channel of the composite decking profile and is held in place by a locking plate and locknut. In contrast to shot firing methods, this zero- impact fixing preserves the strength of the decking profile and avoids delamination (separating the steel from the concrete) and damage to the deck. Safe working loads are independently approved and rigorous quality procedures ensure a secure connection with a capacity of 1.00kN per fixing, calculated at a safety factor of 3:1.

Panasonic
Panasonic has introduced a new Aquarea Cascade Controller, with a highly integrated interface, to deliver increased energy efficiency for large applications.
The controller can operate up to 10 Aquarea air-to-water heat pumps (160kW) simultaneously or in cascade mode, helping to meet the heating or cooling demand of commercial buildings more efficiently. For large projects, efficiency is the key to creating a more sustainable building and reducing heating and cooling costs. Cascade control is increasingly being utilised, making use of parallel connected heat pumps and switching on the most efficient number of these as demand is increased or decreased.
The new Aquarea Cascade Controller makes it possible to connect up to 10 Aquarea heat pumps in parallel, to suit the needs of large- scale applications such as shops and hotels. Each heat pump within the cascade requires its own Modbus Interface (PAW-AW-MBS-H) to allow it to communicate with the Aquarea Cascade Controller. The Aquarea Cascade Controller directly integrates with the building’s BEMS by a built-in Modbus.
