Reel & Roll Handling
Meeting a specific customer need W
hilst the demand for roll handling equipment capable of
handling weights of 60kg and over has been fairly comprehensively served, when it came to handling weights of 30kg and below, the choice was restricted - usually consisting of large, bulky products oversized for the purpose. Since its introduction, the Liſtassist from Dutch specialist Dotec has comprehensively filled this product gap. Extremely simple to use, the full
Dotec Liftassist range - which includes rotary and single action roll handlers for loads up to 250kg - has been designed andngineered to meet this specific market need. Each individual order is sized and tailored to meet the specific requirements of the customer and every system is tested in a realistic set-up before installation on the client’s site.
At the centre of Liftassist
equipment is the Dotec Ergohandle, an ergonomic and easy to use handle that, with fingertip touch, allows the operator to determine both direction and speed without taking his eye off the load and the objective. Lifting and storing in high or congested spaces requires no physical effort or contortions, leading to operator safety and comfort. Depending on capacity, as well as
adjusting lifting and lowering speeds, any weight between the range five to 60kg can be safely handled without interval, adjustment or modification. The fully pneumatic design meets all CE regulations and all components and materials are of the highest quality. When in compliance with the CE manual, the safety of users is guaranteed. Dotec Service Engineers provide a
full on-site maintenance and support service and further information is available from Jarshire.

Newroll handling equipmentwith vertical spindle attachment
extended vertical spindle attachments, available in widths of three or six inches for handling longer rolls of film or foil. Constructed from stainless steel, this liſting solution is designed for food, drinks and pharmaceutical industries. The extended three or six-inch
N
spindle attachments allow much longer rolls to be lifted. The rollers on the attachment mean that the transition from the spindle attachment to the processing line mandrel is much easier. The additional length of the
attachment ensures that the load centre of the roll is still on the length of the spindle. Geared rotation allows the operator to re- orientate the roll just by turning the hand-wheel. This lifting solution enables the
operator to pick up large rolls, rotate them, and then raise them above head height in order to load the rolls onto a processing line.

and therefore each application is designed and manufactured individually to ensure the required spindle attachment is supplied. The purpose-designed compact
framework, positioning of handlebars and addition of an optional remote control device provide improved manoeuvrability and ease-of-use for the operator. The small footprint makes this roll
handling equipment highly manoeuvrable and a natural choice for today’s narrow production lines and demanding lifting requirements. Ideally suited for clean room
environments, the stainless steel range of roll handling equipment is suitable for use in a wide range of industries, including: Food, drinks and beverages, dairy, pharmaceutical and chemical. Packline Materials Handling is
able to provide bespoke roll lifting and handling solutions by creating new concepts or tailoring existing handling equipment to meet specific requirements.
