High praise for software system at ALL4PACK i
C3D, the all-in-one packaging design application from Creative Edge Soſtware,
was on show at the ALL4PACK trade show in Paris this month. iC3D featured in four separate exhibits including the winners’ line- up for the prestigious Comité Pack Experts Innovation Awards 2016. There were two main live demonstrations of the
latest version 4.0 iC3D software featuring new improved visualisation technologies and photorealism for a streamlined packaging design cycle. Introduced at drupa this year, early feedback on iC3D version 4.0 already in use by several CPG brands commends its ease-of-use and fast rendering on even the highest-quality, photorealistic mockups. Demonstrations at
ALL4PACK focused on how new ray tracing, light map editing and dynamic background capabilities enable regular designers to recreate effects that previously required physical mock-ups in photographic studios and real environments. “Drawing visitors from all areas of the
packaging production chain, ALL4PACK is a prime focus for iC3D,” comments Nick Gilmore, CEO of Creative Edge Software. “Our unique application appeals to all disciplines, brand owners, designers, converters and engineers, in enabling them to collaborate more effectively, whatever their end product may be. Version 4.0 delivers a new level of finesse to this already powerful application, ensuring even more cost-efficiencies at the highest quality across all packaging sectors.”
The new capabilities of iC3D v4.0 are central to
its selection as one of nine winners of the Comité Pack Experts Innovation Awards 2016. The only winning software application, iC3D was chosen from more than 250 entries by a panel of packaging industry experts and leading design agencies and packaging technologists. The award ceremony took place on November 14. “We know we have a truly innovative product
in iC3D but having it acknowledged by those responsible for producing top-brand packaging designs on a daily basis is a real feather in our cap,” adds Erik de Volder, managing director of SS&C who put forward the application on behalf of Creative Edge Software.
