GRANT SUCCESS FOR NEW MARINA
Work on creating the facilities building is expected to start within the next two months and it is hoped to have it completed by the beginning of May this year in time for the busy boating season. Added John, “The

The news that the new 141 berth marina on the River Nene at Earls Barton in Northamptonshire has received approval for part funding of a new facilities building has been hugely welcomed by farmers John and Debbie Skinner who opened White Mills Marina on 1st April last year.
Once completed the
new building will provide ladies and gents toilets
and showers as well as disabled facilities and a much needed community/ meeting room for boaters and visitors to the River Nene. Explained John, “Knowing that the EAFRD and the RPA believe so whole heartedly in the next phase of our development is a real boost and of course a fantastic start to 2017, we can’t thank them enough.”

marina, White Mills Marina has an extensive range of facilities available to boaters including electricity, water and Wifi to every berth, elsan disposal, pump out, diesel, recycling, laundry room and a book/DVD swap.

Celebrates First Birthday
White Mills Marina on the River Nene in Earls Barton, Northamptonshire will be celebrating its first birthday by hosting an Open Weekend on Saturday 1st April and Sunday 2nd April from 10am – 4pm. The 141 berth marina which is situated at Lock 9 on the River Nene opened for business on 1st April 2016.
Explained farmer John Skinner, “We have really been bowled over by the amount of interest and support we have received from boaters over the past twelve months. With the number of visitors to the River Nene increasing year on year, we are delightedto now be part of that River Nene cruising experience.
