About TAQA Qualifications:
The TAQA qualifications (Training, Assessment, & Quality Assurance) replace the A1 & A2 Assessor Awards and the V1 & V2 Verifier Awards. They are for anyone working in or hoping to take up a role in assessment and internal quality assurance, and provide people in these roles with the opportunity to develop and improve their practice as well as achieving a professional qualification for their roles. The qualifications are linked to the Qualification and Credits Framework (QCF) and are designed for use in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The TAQA qualifications offer Awards and Certificates at Level 3 and 4. Level 3 provides a pathway for learners to understand assessment and if required, qualify as an assessor. Level 4 focuses on internal quality assurance. Some of the awards concentrate on competence based skills, such as assessing competence in the workplace, while others are knowledge based, such as understanding quality assurance and assessment processes. Therefore, these awards can suit practitioners or anyone wishing to acquire knowledge and information about the roles of the assessor or internal quality assurer.
Advice NI TAQA Qualifications:
Advice NI offers a range of TAQA qualifications including those for assessors and internal quality assurance staff. Our TAQA qualifications are accredited through City and Guilds. They are available via on-line learning environment and face-to-face. Candidates can enrol on the TAQA qualifications at any time.
Who Should Attend?
TAQA qualifications are open to people carrying out assessments and quality assurance in most learning environments including FE, Adult Continuing Learning, Employers and Third Sector. This includes accredited learning, non-accredited learning qualifications on the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF).
