Getting up in front of a room of people to deliver training or presentations can be very daunting even for those who do it every day. This course will help you to recognise and enhance the presentation and delivery skills that you already possess, as well as develop new skills in this area. It will cover:

Understanding learning preferences and how you can tailor lessons or presentations to meet different learning styles.


Understanding the principles of adult learning.


Building your confidence and skills as a trainer or presenter. Creative group facilitation and delivery tips. Dealing with challenging training scenarios.


Who Should Attend?


Anyone wishing to develop or improve their training and presentation skills. This can include those who currently train or present, or those wishing to transfer their adviser knowledge into the realm of training and/or presenting.


Location/Time/Date:


The course will run on the 19th November 2015. It will be delivered at Advice NI offices in Belfast. The course runs from 9.30am to 4pm.


Fees: There is a charge of £75 to Advice NI Members, £95 to Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and £125 to Private and Statutory Sector organisations.


CPD Hours: There are 6 CPD hours available for this course. Educational/Professional Framework:


This course can be used as evidence towards a range of units in our Advice and Guidance NVQ’s and Legal Advice qualifications including ‘Facilitate Learning in Groups’ (Unit 27). It is also linked to the National Occupational Standards for Legal Advisers including ‘SFJHD10 - Provide Support for Other Practitioners’.


Experienced Advisers can often make the best trainers and are a


valuable resource for organisations with very small or no training budgets, having a dedicated in house peer trainer can really enhance the quality of all within your organisation and this


course will give advisers the confidence, knowledge and direction to do just that.
