Module 1: Age Awareness, discrimination and the law relating to employment in age and goods, facilities and services.
Module 2: Older peoples benefit entitlement, and its legal framework.
Module 3: Understanding State Pensions and the legislative framework for pensions and taxation in retirement.
Module 4: The rights of older people in the provision of healthcare.
Module 5: Safeguarding, protection from abuse and the provision of community and residential care and how it’s funded.
Module 6: The provision and maintenance of accommodation, keeping warm, well and safe and how social/sheltered housing works for older people.
E- Learning sessions are fully interactive between course tutor and candidate. Candidates must complete a portfolio of work in order to obtain the qualification, this will be a combination of online exercises and written work in the candidates own time. Each candidate will be given access to download a comprehensive set of written materials and web resources via our industry leading “Moodle” e-learning platform.
Delivery: The course will be delivered via our e-learning platform. CPD Hours: There are 36 CPD hours available for this course.
Fees: There is a charge of £300 to Advice NI Members, £350 to Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and £400 to Private and Statutory Sector organisations.

Improving your Adviser Skills for Older People - Modular Based E-learning Courses About the Course:
For learners who do not wish to achieve a qualification, our self-directed e-learning is a time and cost effective option. No written work is required from candidates. Learners can choose one or more of the modules outlined in the Level 5 Award information.
Delivery: These courses will be delivered via our e-learning platform. CPD Hours: There are 6 CPD hours available for each module.
Fees: There is a per module charge of £50 to Advice NI Members, £65 to Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and £80 to Private and Statutory Sector organisations.
