contractors can work, keeping customers happy and reducing costs.

A variety of remote hose reels are now available, with varying sizes and options. One of Jetchem’s more popular models is the JCS16, a small tracked remote reel unit. This particular model can be transported to site on a small trailer, has a minimal footprint and gives the user over 200 metres of hose. Larger models are also available, in either tracked or wheeled options.

The drainage industry has also adapted vehicles from other sectors such as the military, with the tracked utility vehicle being one. Originally developed for the armed forces this vehicle is now used for works in areas that require less impact on the environment, such as golf courses or areas with difficult access like woods and marshes. The ability for the unit to cope with terrain a standard vehicle simply could not manoeuvre in and with several rear pod options, this unit is highly versatile and now plays an important part in the drainage industry.

Perhaps not surprisingly it is the ability for jetting machine manufacturers to be able to provide bespoke units built specifically to a customer’s needs that is key. Incorporating all of the

industries advances in technology allows manufacturers to cater to each individual customer and their requirements, manufacturing units more suitable for the job than ever before.
