Former Director with the Lord Hugh Jenkins served as a Canadian Board member, trustee and director from 2009–2013. Because of his knowledge of financial
systems and his experience in finance, Hugh was a very valuable member of the boards. He knew what questions to ask and gave wise guidance during a time of financial stress for the Fellowship. Hugh was also the lay leader of Humboldt Bible Church of Humboldt, Sask., for many years, helping to see it through the transi-
tion from church plant to a self-governing, self-supporting church. His passion for outreach lead him to attend the TERM seminar on evangelism and discipleship. Te Commission on Outreach provided a grant for him and his pastor to attend this. Hugh passed away December 16, 2016. He is morned by his wife, Carol, and two sons.

Next Summer in Waldheim!
Salem Church of Waldheim (
salemchurch.ca) will host the 2017 FEBC Convention July 12–16. Salem’s new education facility and gym will provide comfortable, roomy areas to fellowship and learn. Popular Canadian speaker and writer, Phil Callaway (
backtothebible.ca/laughagain), will speak
each evening. “Phil Callaway is an award-winning author, speaker, and daddy of three. Te best-sell- ing author of 25 books, Phil has been called ‘the funniest Canadian alive,’ but never by his school teachers. His daily radio show Laugh Again airs across North America, the UK, and Africa. He is a frequent guest on national radio and TV, and his humorous stories on family life have been featured in hundreds of magazines worldwide. But he insists that his greatest achievement was convincing his wife to marry him. Phil lives in Canada with his high school sweetheart who usually finds him funny” (
philcallaway.ab.ca/aboutphil.htm). An added incentive is that Canada celebrates 150 years as a nation in 2017. Admission to all of
Canada’s 40 national parks will be free for the entire year! So go to
tourismsaskatchewan.com and
us-keepexploring.canada.travel and start planning your 2017 convention vacation! Please make every effort to ensure that your pastor and wife can attend. Delegates from the United States will need current passports.
