Family Night. Te church ordered in pizza and ice cream. Te evening was a screen- free event with no movies for the kids to encourage them to be involved in the game playing. Pastor Ryan did some ukulele jamming with some of the youth. Te highlight of the evening was the big Dutch Blitz® game [photo bottom right]. Te multi-generational involvement turned out to be rather competitive, which the game tends to be, but was a great hit. New Members: One in October Brenda Jansen, Correspondent

Hodgson Bible Church Hodgson, Manitoba Our search for a pastor continues. In
the meantime we have enjoyed insight- ful and challenging teaching from guest speakers such as Dr. Daniel Bowers, Kevin Trembley, Jake Froese and others. Over the past several years, Sara Plett, a
member of our congregation, has orga- nized a Christmas Shoebox drive in the community of Fisher Branch. Tis year church and community volunteers filled and sent along 431 shoeboxes to Samar- itan’s Purse! Sara’s basement was a hive of activity for several weeks as donations poured in. Every two weeks, Joan Howland leads
in a devotional/singing session in a local Personal Care home. Different church members assist her in this outreach. Maritta Sinisalo, Correspondent

• Te “MPH” walking group on Mon- day and Tursday mornings for seniors or other adults. (MPH stands for “Get Mobile and Praising Him!”) Tis includes group stretching and warm- up, mileage challenges, good music and great company.
• A community laser tag night in our gym provided a great outreach event for our youth.

Christmas food hampers to single parents, those who are grieving, or those struggling financially in our community. In addition to the generous support of our congrega- tion, we were joined by contributions from our local Hutterite Colony and egg farmers. Our second “Service of the Longest

Vita Bible Church Vita, Manitoba Jonathan Coutts, Pastor In October, a church trip to Union
Gospel Mission in Winnipeg proved a good opportunity for us to work together, to better appreciate some of the needs of people in a context outside of our own, and to minister the Gospel to them. We look forward to similar opportunities to serve as a body in the future. Our “Fall Meetings” weekend in
November saw different individuals in the church giving presentations on what this change looks like. We considered change at the heart level from the story of David, Nabal, and Abigail; a change of mind in the midst of suffering as witnessed by the example of Job; change wrought through forgiveness of one another, based on the parable of the unmerciful servant; and
