4.3 Positioning and Navigation The position of the vessel was tracked at all times using a Garmin GPSMap 278 with an EGNOS differential connected to an external Garmin GA30 antenna. Trawl start times and positions were taken when the winch stopped paying out the gear. Similarly, trawl end times and positions were taken when hauling of the gear commenced.


4.4 Sampling Operations The survey was undertaken from the 15th to the 27th May 2013. A summarised log of events is given in Table 0.4 below.
