Profi le: Sumika Color is a longstanding manufacturer of advanced plastic compounds, functional and colour masterbatches, polymer colorants and organic pigments. The company opened a manufacturing plant in Nantong, China in 2010 to produce functional-additive masterbatches for the Asian market. Over recent years it has developed a unique patented processing technology to produce Double Layered Pellet Masterbatches.


Product line: Sumika Color produces both functional and colour compounds and masterbatches for use in a variety of base polymers including PE, PA, PC, PBT, PET and PVC. Its product line also contains organic pigments for offset printing inks and plastics colorants, including dry and wet colour concentrates.


Product strengths: Sumika Color produces conventional masterbatches, as well as polymer alloy masterbatches/compounds and Double Layered Pellet Masterbatches. The latter feature a core/sheath structure that allows diffi cult to process products to be handled, such as masterbatches with very high pigment/additive loadings.
