MASTERBATCH M

7-9 June 2016, Imperial Riding School Renaissance Vienna Hotel, Vienna, Austria

Despite volatility and a challenging business environment in many areas the masterbatch business in Europe continues to be one of the most innovative and dynamic in the whole plastics market. However, gone are the old certainties that the market can continue to grow through a combination of economic growth and penetration of new applications. Europe is facing a low-growth environment and the plastics processing industry is focussing on cost-cutting to try and hold onto margins wherever they can. However, whilst the business environment remains challenging, there are plenty of opportunities for the innovative, forward thinking masterbatch producer. Trends in new resin formulations, downgauging and recycling all require clever additives and pigments to maintain performance and aesthetics - which processors increasingly look to the masterbatch industry to deliver for them.

Listening to and understanding those customers’ needs will be key to AMI’s 2016 Masterbatch conference programme. I am very excited by this year’s business forum which brings together material specialists and designers from a wide array of end use industries including packaging and the automotive industry to give delegates real insight into the trends that are going to influence the masterbatch industry in the years ahead. This will be an excellent opportunity to hear from the OEMs themselves on what material developments will be driving their business.

Allied to this will be a series of presentations from market leading suppliers discussing the latest trends in colorants, pigments and functional additives that will help materbatch producers meet those customer needs in a timely and cost-effective way. This will be complemented by papers from equipment suppliers that will update delegates on the latest solutions to help to improve productivity and output.

In addition the conference will provide detailed analysis of the current global market trends as I present the findings of our latest research into the global masterbatch market and how we see the current and future development of the industry.

More than anything though Masterbatch 2016 will give you superb cost-effective networking opportunities to help you stay ahead in your business. AMI’s Masterbatch conference always attracts a quality audience of senior executives from the industry so I hope you will want to come and join your peers and colleagues from the global masterbatch industry at this year’s event. I look forward to seeing you in Vienna for AMI’s Masterbatch 2016 conference.

Masterbatch 2016 is the international meeting for the Masterbatch industry. AMI has been organising its regular Masterbatch conference since 1987, and the event typically attracts over 150 delegates from around the world including most leading masterbatch producers. Over two days you can achieve contacts and networking within the industry that would normally take significant time and travel to accomplish.

The conference offers a highly cost effective use of your time giving you the opportunity to meet with other manufacturers, customers and suppliers to discuss the challenges facing the industry today.
