US chemicals group Axiall Corporation has announced the sale of two rigid PVC businesses, the Solucor PVC compound additives operation and the window and door profiles unit of its Royal Building Products division. The company has sold
certain assets of the Solucor additives operation, including its manufacturing facility at Bradford, Ontario, Canada, to Galata Chemicals. The Bradford facility manufactures mostly process aids and impact modifiers for rigid PVC applications and employs around 60 people. The deal completed in February. The window and door

LehVoss says China production expansion is ‘on schedule’
Germany-headquartered Lehmann&Voss&Co, which makes the Luvocom range of high-performance compounds and Luvosint additives, has announced that its planned expansion of sales and production in China is on schedule. A new manufacturing
operation has now started in Kunshan, approximately 60 km west of Shanghai, the company said. Lehvoss New Material (Kunshan) covers 2,500 m² and features extrusion plant, a laboratory, a development department, application technology and offices. Production will focus on the Luvocom and Luvosint ranges.
