Last month saw the return of the charity bike ride ‘Mushrooms For Life’ before the start of the Australian Mushroom Growers’ Conference. Departing in Sydney on 6 October and arriving in Mildura on the 12th, the Great Ride included The Great Ocean Road (see the picture of the 12 Apostles) and the Great Alpine Way. Just like on the first edition (in 2010) riders raised money along the way (and online), this time for the McGrath Foundation. This organisation helps families in Australia that struggle with breast cancer. The goal was set on 50.000 Australian dollars, but at this time there’s allready close to 60.000 in! Great job bikers and everyone who contributed!
