EDITOR’S CHOICE 2017 PREDICTIONS Keep Your Eyes Peeled From authentic oak to industrial-inspired LVT, 2016 brought us a wide range of
bold and beautiful flooring trends. But what does the new year have in store for us? We spoke to the experts to find out their predictions for the year ahead...
Geometric Genius David Bigland, Managing Director of Moduleo UK and Eire
2017’s hero trend will be geometric design with a huge rise in consumers already opting for this quirky and eccentric look throughout their homes.
Traditionally, consumers implemented geometric shapes into their interiors through wallpaper and accessories. However, since the launch of our Moduleo Moods collection earlier this year, we’ve had an incredibly positive response to our triangle, hexagon and diamond shaped tiles in particular.
Moduleo Moods offers customers a creative studio in which they can combine ten brand new flooring formats. Up to 110 unique wood and stone-effect designs can be created using the wide range of tile shapes available.

Stephen Baker, Sales and Marketing Director, at Solus Ceramics
The use of metallic style tiles is an exciting and innovative area of the industry, one that is set to grow in 2017.
A unique and versatile medium, you can find tiles that replicate almost every different type of material, therefore it comes as no surprise that designers are choosing tiles to create metal effect floor and wall schemes.
Not only are we seeing many recently introduced ranges inspired by precious metals such as gold, silver and bronze, but there is also proving to be a huge demand for more rustic interpretations of metal, such as worn and weathered iron, copper and steel coloured tiles, which will suit an aesthetic inspired by urban and industrial trends.
