EDITOR’S VOICE

Hello and welcome to the latest issue of Tomorrow’s Cleaning Ireland. It may be Issue 13, but there’s no feeling of superstition at TCHQ – in fact quite the opposite, as we’re lucky enough to have some fantastic articles throughout this issue.

In our Sustainable Cleaning section, we spoke to the ‘Father of Green Cleaning’, Stephen Ashkin, President of the Ashkin Group and the leading advocate for promoting sustainability in the cleaning industry, sets the record straight on what ‘green cleaning’ is actually all about.

Elsewhere, things get surprisingly festive (yes, already!) in our Retail & Daytime Cleaning section, as Jamie Wright of SCA looks ahead to the Christmas rush and the impact that the influx of seasonal shoppers will have on shopping centre washrooms across Ireland. SCA also get involved in our regular 10 Questions feature, as Liam Smith, Ireland Sales Director, tells us how he’d spend his lottery winnings should he bag the jackpot.

Finally, in a special, standalone feature, F Engel tells us why we need to put proper cleaning of workwear high on our list of priorities, where previously we may not have given it much thought. F Engel work with several companies across Ireland to ensure workwear is cleaning properly, and they tell us why it is so essential.

I hope you enjoy the issue – thanks very much and happy reading!
