FLOORCARE & MAINTENANCE
The Future’s Bright, The Future’s Orange
Last month, Tomorrow’s Cleaning Editor Matt Waring flew out to Zurich for a special press conference from Diversey Care, who were celebrating the 60th anniversary of their TASKI brand with some special announcements that could change the cleaning world.
It’s not every day that you get invited on a whirlwind trip to one of the most beautiful countries in the world, so when the offer came from Diversey to go out to Zurich to join in the festivities as they celebrate the 60th anniversary of their TASKI brand, as well as be witness to a couple of special announcements, I was hardly going to say no, was I?
After being rather vigorously patted down in Manchester airport, I managed to catch a glimpse of the stunning Swiss Alps on the short flight over to Zurich, but it wasn’t going to be the last amazing sight I would bear witness to on my visit.

This was followed by a presentation from Jerome Peribere, who talked about the history of Sealed Air, from its beginnings in bubble wrap and protective packaging to the formation of its food packaging and Diversey Care divisions.
He also highlighted the company’s mission ‘to reimagine the industry we serve to create a world that feels, looks and works better’ and how through their three core values of
sustainability, performance and cost competitiveness – working together in a ‘Trillian’ system, as depicted in the company logo – they can help achieve their vision of creating a better way of life.
Jerome said that only by utilising all three of these values in unison can their goals be achieved, but he added that sustainability is becoming more and more of a high priority, as it begins to move away from the age-old stereotype of the ‘tree hugger’ concept.
After Jerome’s presentation, Ilham Kadri took to the floor with three special announcements. The first of which was the rather dramatic unveiling of a brand new TASKI scrubber dryer, the Swingo 2100µicro (micro). The first in a new line of ultra-productive machines, the Swingo Micro is a new, smaller ride- on scrubber dryer that promises to deliver the productivity of a ride-on floorcare machine in settings where
