It’s been another busy month for the cleaning industry, which means we’ve got plenty to talk about in this, the July issue of Tomorrow’s Cleaning.

At the recent Budget announcement, Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne revealed the Government’s plans to introduce a ‘National Living Wage’ next April, giving those currently earning the minimum wage a much needed pay rise.

This is obviously great news for those cleaners in our industry currently struggling to get by on what they earn, but the news was met with a degree of scepticism from the Living Wage Foundation, who have been campaigning for a fair days pay for a fair days work, with support from the British Cleaning Council, for the past 14 years.

Elsewhere, we’ve got the first words from new BCC Chairman Simon Hollingberry, as he paid his respects to previous Chairman Doug Cooke at their recent AGM meeting, and we also hear from Robert Scott & Sons, who have made another acquisition to their ever expanding portfolio.

Don’t forget to check out our Street Cleaning & Graffiti Removal, Damage Management and Pressure Washer & Steam Cleaning sections, for some great, insightful features from the likes of Rentokil, ServiceMaster Clean and Kärcher.

I hope you enjoy this month’s issue – thanks very much and happy reading!
