gum removers. The reason for ever needing an alternative to the freeze spray option, which had served us very well for many moons, was that at a particular point in time, the gum of choice for most consumers changed significantly. I am speaking of course of the mass move from chewing sugary gum to chewing sugar-free gum, given the obvious dental and other associated health benefits. Unfortunately while

On a slightly more obscure note, I once met a customer who absolutely swore blind that one of our trigger spray based liquid air fresheners was by far and away the best product she had ever used for buffing her sealed hardwood floors to a gloss! I must admit to being a little less convinced on this particular occasion.
However the product that by far and away tops this particular billing as far as the Premiere Products range is concerned is Break Up. Break Up is a gel based product that harnesses the power of natural orange oil (or orange terpenes as my more technically minded colleagues advise me).
The initial concept behind the development of Break Up was for us to formulate an alternative to

removable using a freeze spray, given that the sugar is a significant part of what ultimately becomes frozen, sugar free alternatives are not so simply removed via the same method. By contrast though, an orange oil based product in the right format such as Break Up, works particularly effortlessly.
Since its launch however, we have learned that Break Up is hugely effective in removing a very wide range of “problem” soil types from hard surfaces and soft furnishings alike and the fact that it is Woolsafe approved makes it almost universally usable.
As someone who offers product advice to end user customers, I must admit that having a product like Break Up in your arsenal makes life much easier;
• Make-up on carpet – Break Up • Tape residue on glass – Break Up
27
• Crayon on upholstery – Break Up
• Sticky label residue on white goods – Break Up
• Grease or oil on fabrics – Break Up
…and so the list goes on. I have personally managed to remove permanent marker from a white board in the office using it and a colleague (also a ‘Product Development parent’) is oft heard waxing lyrical about how easy it makes the job of removing bathroom sealant.
There are few things more fulfilling than those occasions when your newly launched product exceeds even your own expectations.
In fact this realisation of the product’s broader capabilities caused a change in packaging design in order that those capabilities be reflected.
It would not be a million miles from the truth to say that there is somewhat of a mantra here at Premiere;
“Where nothing else works, try Break Up!”
