AND PRODUCT SAFETY Employers and those in control of any work at height activity must make sure work is properly planned, supervised and carried out by competent people. At the heart of this is the need to assess the risks and follow the hierarchy of control which includes: avoiding the need to work at height; preventing falls using appropriate access equipment; and reducing the distance and consequences of a fall should one occur. The session will cover how the hierarchy is applied and give examples of approaches to work at height from the cleaning sector.
