ITEC APPOINTS NEW MAN FOR
SOUTH-WEST Itec Contract Floors has appointed David Vine as Area Sales Manager for the South-West as part of its strategy to strengthen the team across the UK.
David joins Itec having recently been involved in the launch of the Home Foundations distribution channel, as well as having spent time at Hall’s Flooring and Wessex Flooring.
Explaining his high ambitions for the growth of Itec, David stated: “The Itec portfolio is exceptionally strong with the UK’s widest range of decorative sheet, acoustic and safety flooring and the South-West is full of locations that can benefit from the variety in design and performance that’s on offer.
BAL EXPANDS SPECIFICATION SUPPORT TEAM
Full tiling solutions manufacturer, Building Adhesives Ltd (BAL), has hired two new Specification Managers as part of its drive to expand its specification support team.
Alan Thurston and Tracey Hopkins will work with architects, designers and specifiers supporting them on M40/M20 specifications, providing project support and delivering RIBA-accredited CPDs.
Tracey will deliver support in North West and South West London while Alan will work with clients in the Midlands.
Alan has more than 20 years’ experience in the flooring sector, working alongside architects, specifiers, contractors and sub-contractors for companies including Altro, Polydeck Resins, and RSL. Key installations Alan has supported include flooring for Chelsea Football Club, Wimbledon, and BAA.
Tracey also has significant experience in the flooring and walling sector with companies including Tarkett UK, Altro, and Interface supporting end-users,
“I’m looking forward to working closely with installers and contractors across the region to bring the performance and style of Itec flooring to commercial projects of all sizes. It really is a great opportunity as Itec is a rapidly developing brand that continues to gather pace every year.”
David will be responsible for liaising with installers, contractors and distributors looking to work with Itec Contract Floors directly. He will be on hand to ensure that the right Itec floor is specified and that project requirements are met beyond expectations.

TILING SHOW IS A FIRST FOR THE UK
The UK’s very first and only Tiling Show will come to the Harrogate International Centre from 18th- 20th September 2016.
Open to businesses in the retail, commercial and interior design sectors, The Tiling Show offers a platform for visitors to network, conduct business, attend seminars
designers, contractors, distributors and architects on key projects and delivering RIBA-accredited CPDs.
