PayPal is adding 100 new roles to its Global Operations Centre for EMEA in Ballycoolin, Dublin. This will bring PayPal’s Irish workforce to 3,000 by 2018, with 1,600 employees in Dublin and 1,400 in Dundalk, signalling continued investment in Ireland as a key strategic hub for that growth. Louise Phelan, Vice President of Global Operations for EMEA, said: “This announcement is a strong endorsement of the quality of teammates we find here in Ireland.”

Thanks to continued growth, pharma giant MSD will create 200 new jobs across three of its Irish manufacturing sites by the end of 2016. “Today’s announcement reflects the critical role MSD’s Irish sites play in our wider global manufacturing network,” commented Ger Carmody, associate Vice President and Site Lead at MSD in Ballydine, Tipperary. “Our state-of-the- art facilities in Carlow, Cork and Tipperary are leading the way in the development of new medicines, including treatments for cancer.”
