Law fi rm Merchant & Gould has added a partner to its Washington, DC offi ce. Nancy Lutz joins from law fi rm Kelley Drye


& Warren, where she was also a partner. Lutz helps clients to protect their trademarks, copyright and domain names in industries including sporting goods, telecoms and fi nance. Brian Batzli, managing director and chief

FisherBroyles hires IP attorney in Atlanta


US law fi rm FisherBroyles has appointed Anne Yates as an attorney in its Atlanta offi ce. Yates, who joins the IP and contests and


sweepstakes practices, focuses on trademark and copyright matters, including litigation and licensing. She has represented companies in sectors


including apparel, soſt ware and beverages. Yates also specialises in sweepstakes and


promotions matters. “We are pleased to welcome Anne Yates


to the FisherBroyles team,” said T J DoVale, FisherBroyles’s IP managing partner. “Our IP bench is deepening continually and the addition of Anne furthers this pursuit.”

Tilleke & Gibbins adds lawyer in Indonesia


Asian law fi rm Tilleke & Gibbins has added to its Indonesia offi ce by appointing Zain Adnan. Adnan will serve as an IP manager in the


fi rm’s Jakarta offi ce. He has more than ten years’ experience in IP


prosecution work and has worked with clients in industries including pharmaceuticals, and consumer and luxury goods. Before joining Tilleke & Gibbins, Adnan was managing partner at Hadromi Adnan Intellectual Property Group, also in Jakarta. Tilleke & Gibbins has offi ces in T ailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Laos, and Myanmar.

Law fi rm Akerman has added two partners to its intellectual property practice group. Copyright specialists Ross Charap and


Matthew Finkelstein will join the fi rm’s New York offi ce. T e pair previously worked at law fi rm Arent Fox. Both


lawyers advise also recording artists,


songwriters and music publishing companies on copyright and other IP matters. Charap


represents playwrights,


screenwriters and novelists. Finkelstein also advises clients on technology transactions. Mark Passler, co-chair of the IP practice group,
