involved in a number of local voluntary projects in recent years including Castlemilk Community Transport, the Cassiltoun Trust, Second Opportunities and the Lost Lives initiative. She is the Chair of
Castlemilk Community Council and a member of GHA’s South East local housing committee. Christine said: “I have been working in the community for 40 years and have really enjoyed it.”
Tenants help us shape services
TENANTS came together to learn how they can shape what GHA does. An event in Glasgow saw
tenants from across Wheatley Group - GHA’s parent company - learn about our scrutiny panel and tenant-led inspection teams. The scrutiny panel, made
up of tenants and owners, looks in detail at services from a tenant’s perspective and reports back on what works well and not so well. Tenant David Forsyth, from Drumchapel, attended the information session. He said: “We learned about scrutiny today and it was very
interesting. “Being accountable is
important, as is getting tenants involved. It’s a good opportunity for tenants to help make their communities better places.” To find out more, or to get involved, give us a phone on 274 6621.
