YOUR LETTER

Dear the Key I stayed in Inglis Street and my family watched the Bluevale/Whitevale tower blocks being built. My mum was allocated a flat on the 20th floor. Mum and three daughters went up in the lift. I was still shaking at 7.30pm that night. We went out on to the veranda - what a view! My sister and her husband moved next door to mum. He was a concierge on site, as was my sister. Elizabeth Stewart, Cumbernauld Road Always great to hear people’s memories of housing in the city, Elizabeth. There are quite a few changes in the Gallowgate, with more new homes to come.

Dear the Key I live in a two-bedroom home with my partner and four children. I continuously bid on properties on Home Finder with no success. I’m in Group 3 for overcrowding but I also have medical conditions yet I live in an upper cottage. I can’t understand why we haven’t been rehoused considering our situation. John Ferguson, Inverleith Street Hi John. Three-bedroom homes don’t often become available. Best thing is to continue to note interest in homes in a variety of areas. You should consider also applying to other landlords, including the private sector, to increase your chances. Staff at your local office will be happy to discuss your application and help you find a home that suits. Hope this helps.

Dear the Key I’d like to thank my housing officer Elaine Roberts for everything she has done for me in 2015. Elaine is always there for everyone and is always very professional and gets things done. Thanks again Elaine. Shirley Knotts, Castlemilk Drive

Thanks Shirley. We’ve passed on your kind comments to Elaine.

Dear the Key I’d like to say a big thank-you to my housing officer Eleanor Keilt for all her help during my stay in hospital. Also to my neighbours for making me welcome. John Murdoch, Crosshill Avenue Always nice for staff to get the praise they deserve, John.

Dear the Key I wish to express my deepest gratitude for sending me a voucher for my Christmas shopping list. What a great surprise. You are a very caring and generous company looking after old people. God bless. Andy Stadalius, Barfillan Drive Thanks Andy. Your comments are much appreciated.

Dear the Key Years ago, they had some elephants down on Clydeside. I bought some
