pears and took them in to feed the elephants. They relished them. A couple of days later I stood in Sauchiehall Street along from Charing Cross. They had a parade, which included the elephants. I think they were the same ones I gave the pears to. They say an elephant never forgets. These beasts trumpeted as they looked at me. I guess they remembered the pears. Harry Mullin, Knapdale Street Appreciate you taking the time to write, Harry. Any other tenants remember this?
Dear the Key My windows are poor quality and my home is always cold. I spend £40 a week to heat my home but to no avail. Are there any plans to have new windows fitted soon? Michelle Scott, Mosspark Drive
Thanks for your letter Michelle. We’ll be refurbishing the double- glazed timber windows in Mosspark in the year ahead, including renewing the seals. We’ll be in touch with more details. Hope this helps.
Dear the Key
I am writing about the front door in my close. The intercom doesn’t work and I’m fed up having to get up and open the door to let someone in. It’s also left open all night. Hoping you can help me with this. E Ross, Royston Road Thanks for letting us know, Mrs Ross. Apologies for the delay in getting this repair carried out. It’s been done now.
STAR PHOTO
WE had another set of fantastic entries to our Star Photo competition. Sean Kearney, from Birness Drive, is the winner of this issue’s Star Photo. Sean took this lovely photo of trees in Pollok Park. Well done to Sean, who wins £20 worth of shopping vouchers. We also really liked this colourful photo of the swings in George Square taken by Kerry McGill, of Eastwood - so we’ve included that too. Send us pics of your family, your pet, your favourite holiday snap, anything, and we’ll print the best one. You can win £20 worth of vouchers - and more than 40,000 tenants will see your work.
