Always here if you need us
COME rain, hail or shine, GHA staff work round the clock - 365 days a year - to make sure tenants stay safe and warm. When others have their feet up, our night mobile
teams, call centre staff and repairs teams provide an emergency response to tenants. This festive season staff at our 24-hour Customer Service Centre handled almost 13,000 calls. They organised repairs, took payments, helped people applying for a home and gave advice. They also worked closely with other local staff including housing officers. GHA Chair Gordon Sloan said: “We really are open 24/7 at GHA. Staff don’t always get the credit they deserve for working day and night to keep people and communities safe. “They deliver a really valuable service and help
provide peace of mind. “A big thank-you to all our staff from grateful
tenants across the city.” Over the holidays, GHA’s night mobile teams also dealt with anti-social behaviour, cleaned common areas and removed bulky bits of rubbish. They even helped one tenant move house on Christmas Eve. And our repairs teams provided a fast response to
tenants who had emergencies. Throughout winter, they’ve also carried out winter home checks for 2000 tenants who are over 60 or who are disabled. Staff from local offices and head office were also on call, ready to step up in an emergency if needed.

...a gentle hand extended to you in your time of need. Earth to Earth…
Should a funeral cost the earth? The simple answer is no! Do families have a say in how a funeral is carried out? Of course they do! Janice Stevens believe funerals should be affordable to all, with no loss of quality or service provided. Costs should not dictate how well a family feel they can provide a dignified farewell to those they have lost.
They are committed to ensuring those you hold dear receive the best possible care in their hands at all times. Families don’t realise that they can work hand in hand with the funeral director, and that support and guidance provided by the director in making decisions, is how ultimately the family can feel happy and content with the funeral on the day.
Both Janice and Stephen believe in building a relationship with the family from the first moment of contact, right through to the day of the funeral.
