Berlin to Prague

Day 5 Meissen. With its remarkable views of the river, the historic town of Meissen is as enchanting today as it was hundreds of years ago. On your included visit to the 300-year-old Meissenware factory, see how the precious porcelain is made and trademarked with the famous crossed swords, and view numerous pieces, dating as far back as 1710. Your included walking tour takes you past Albrechtsburg, the 15th-century castle, overlooking the picturesque Elbe valley.
Day 6 Dresden. In Dresden, you are struck by the silhouette of this elegant city, with its spires, towers and domes atop the palaces and churches. Since the war, the city has been restored to its former glory and on your included tour you will see the magnificent Zwinger Palace, Semper Opera House and the Frauenkirche.
Day 7 Saxon Switzerland. From the picture-book beauty of Bad Schandau, travel to the Bastei Rocks, for sweeping panoramic views of the Elbe. Afterwards, cruise a spectacular stretch of the river, through the soaring rock formations of Saxon Switzerland in Germany’s Saxony region.
Day 8 De ˇcˇín and Prague. After
breakfast, disembark and transfer to Prague. Join an included panoramic tour of Prague, the ‘City of a Hundred Spires’. The Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site and your excursion includes a tour of the impressive Hradcˇany Castle. Your evening is free to relax and explore Prague at night. Why not enjoy a glass or two of famous Czech beers in one of Prague’s inviting bars?
Day 9 Prague. Enjoy a full day at leisure to make your own discoveries. Or join an optional tour of Lobkowicz Palace in the grounds of Prague Castle. Here you can enjoy intriguing stories of the powerful Lobkowicz family and explore the fascinating museum.
Day 10 Prague. We take you to Prague airport for your return flight to the UK.
