Out & About The Dog &

Partridge Belly Busting Excellence in the Heart of Springhead

In February, we had the opportunity to enjoy a spot of lunch at the fabulous Dog & Partridge in Springhead, and WOW, what a feast!

In recent times, this popular venue has enjoyed a number of refurbishments to enhance the stylish interior, as well as incorporating an all new conservatory dining area at the front of the premises. In addition, during the Summer months, you will be able to enjoy the ample sized beer garden to the rear.

Official Steakstones Restaurant

The impressive menu certainly ticks all the boxes and accommodates everyone from those with a big appetite to those who wish to enjoy a smaller portion from the special lunch menu which brims with traditional favourites and is served Monday to Friday from 11.00am til 3.00pm.

With a whole host of Starters, Nachos, Sandwiches, Burgers, Hotdogs, Mains and their Speciality Steaks on offer, you really will be spoilt for choice. For Starters you can enjoy everything from Greenlip Mussels served in a creamy garlic sauce and garlic ciabatta to HOT Spicy Chicken Wings and Deep Fried Breaded Whitebait served with salad leaves, tartare sauce and lemon.

With a little guidance from their friendly team, we opted to share the Goats Cheese Crostini which consisted of goats cheese & red onion marmalade on crusty ciabatta bread served with dressed salad leaves..... Simply delicious!

Then for mains, there is simply everything available from Slow Cooked BBQ Ribs, Jumbo Cod with Chunky Chips and Carbonara to their tremendous Mixed Grill, which we're told is also very popular.

However we were drawn towards the Pulled Pork & Beef Burger with crispy bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, salad, tomato & chilli jam, fries and slaw, as well as the Sirloin Steak with a choice of sides and house sauces. Again both dishes were plentiful and exceptional in flavour. * Please note that a Special Starter & Steak Menu (choice of any starter and steak) is available Monday's & Tuesday's only.

There are a whole host of tempting desserts and ice creams available, but we were honestly to full (and satisfied) to have anymore..... All in all a proper culinary feast.... Well done and thank you guys for a feast to remember!

Available Thursday, Friday (4pm-9pm), Saturday and Sunday (12 Noon - 9pm) you can book one of the Dog's BBQ Steak tables, where you can cook your own steak with a choice of rubs and sauces..... Amazing! Booking is advisable so for further details please ring the team on 0161 627 1183 or go to www.bookthedog.co.uk

Bookings are also being taken for Mother's Day & Easter, so once again, please remember to book early.

There's only one place you need to try this Spring.....and it's in Springhead.... So head to THE DOG!
