A new development of affordable housing is nearing completion at Sunrising in East Looe.
Local photographer Neil Richardson has documented activity at the site since the former Barbican Pre-school building was demolished in 2011.
The plans to build 15 Cornwall
Council-funded homes on land off the Glebelands caused anger among some parents when it was announced in 2013.
As part of the scheme, the existing play park serving the Barbican area of Looe was demolished.

The affordable housing development is set to be completed in March
Gilbert & Goode Construction, includes three three-bedroom homes, four two-bedroom flats and eight one-bedroom flats, all for social rent.
Cornwall Council says the properties will be highly energy-efficient and therefore economical to run.
A play area will also be created at the site.
Work began at the Sunrising site in February 2016
Big breakfast is a huge success
Carey Park residents on their first community clean-up day with Cornwall Councillor for West Looe and Polperro Edwina Hannaford
Residents of Polperro have come together to keep their neighbourhood clean and tidy. Around 30 people joined Cornwall Councillor Edwina Hannaford at Carey Park for the community litter pick and weeding session. Armed with a tool trailer loaned by Cormac as well as tabards and bin bags from Clean Cornwall, the volunteers collected more than 30 bin bags of weeds, brambles and refuse. Three dumpy bags of green waste were also gathered, said Cllr Hannaford. ‘There was a great community spirit and it was wonderful to see residents, young and old, working together for the common good,’ she said.
‘I’m now hoping we can work together to tidy up an area of neglected land at the end of the
estate so it can be turned into a seating area, possibly with a toddler climbing frame.’ Carey Park residents who responded to a survey sent out by Cllr Hannaford had said they were fed up with the dog mess and general litter left on their estate. Now the group is pleased to see the area looking tidier. ‘We are grateful to Edwina for pulling this together and for all the hard work of those who did weeding and litter picking,’ said resident John Carpenter. ‘It was a great community effort and the estate is starting to look a bit more loved.’
John has set up a Carey Park residents Facebook group and says that more tidying-up is planned in May.
An All Day Charity Big Breakfast was held at St Martin’s Hall, Looe, on January 21. Organisers say it was a successful and enjoyable event which saw 205 breakfasts being served and the sum of £2,556 being raised. This will be split between St Martin’s Church, Looe, and the charities Rotary ShelterBox and Children’s Hospice South West.
Amazing
A spokesperson added: ‘Thanks must go to an amazing band of helpers from Cornish Farm Holidays, Farm Stay UK, The Rotary Club of Looe Valley and the Inner Wheel Club of Liskeard and Looe, who worked tirelessly throughout the day to make it such a success. Many thanks also to all those who supported the event.’
