Driver caught out by flood
Flooding in Seaton, at the beginning of February, caught out at least one unwary driver who had to be towed off the beach road. Resident Sue Langridge took this picture at around 9.30am, shortly after high tide. ‘It was a terrific sea, it was right up against the sea wall and the park was flooded. ‘The river is also very, very full and has come over its banks.’ Schoolchildren in Seaton had to walk along the sea wall to reach the minibus that takes them to Downderry, said Sue.
