While on the Cover Stars trip, our 12 winners stayed in some incredible hotels and resorts. They kicked things off in style at the
Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown hotel, which has custom-designed rooms featuring the Sheraton Signature Bed, flat-panel HDTVs and complimentary basic high-speed internet. In Austin, the Cover Stars were hosted by
Omni Hotels & Resorts, experiencing three properties: Omni Austin Downtown, Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark and Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. These three hotels offer very different, but equally luxurious experiences, with the Downtown and Southpark properties giving a taste of Austin life and Barton Creek located in peaceful surrounds just outside the city. Finally, the trip was rounded off in true
Texan fashion at the fantastic Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine. This iconic property lives up to the phrase
“everything’s bigger in Texas,” with the beautiful Grapevine Lake overlooked by a resort offering a one-of-a-kind retreat with 4.5 acres of lush indoor gardens and winding waterways.

Makeover partner: Simon Shopping Destinations
Simon Shopping Destinations did our winners proud with designer makeovers at two top Texas centres. First up was Grand Prairie Premium
Outlets, which features more than 110 designer and name-brand outlet stores including Bloomingdale’s, Coach, Michael Kors, J Crew, Hugo Boss, Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th and BCBG Max Azria. All the winners received goodie bags and Samsonite bags to carry home their shopping, and those who had their cover shoots at the centre were expertly looked after by stylist Caroline Donaldson-Sinclair for Simon Shopping Destinations.
Further south, the next stop was The Domain, Austin’s premier retail
destination, which offers 100 stores and restaurants in a beautiful park-like setting. Here, the agents took advantage of
more great shopping and were hosted for lunch at Kona Grill, while our two cover models were made over by Alison at Origins and had their hair styled by Jeris Caudill at The Salon at The Domain. Donaldson-Sinclair, international
representative for Simon, said: “We were thrilled with the looks created for Cover Stars 2017 - what a stylish lot the UK travel agents are! “Texas offered us a whole host of
inspiration from edgy fashion-forward to country cool. Texas is a phenomenal shopping experience.”
