Taber Holidays changes name to Scandinavia Only

Juliet Dennis juliet.dennis@travelweekly.co.uk

Taber Holidays is rebranding to Scandinavia Only to make it easier for travel agents to identify and promote its holidays.

The rebrand, which includes a

new-look website and a logo with a reindeer image, comes as the operator considers producing one combined summer and winter “inspirational” brochure next year, instead of two programmes. The operator was named

Norway Only when it was set up in 1973, later changing to Taber Holidays when it branched into other destinations. The rebrand takes effect from

January 1. Managing director Suzel Taber-Shaw said: “We asked agents what [term] they searched for [when looking for] Nordic countries. They all told us Scandinavia,” she said. “We wanted to make it easier for people to find us online and it will work well for new agents coming into

Norway, Sweden and Denmark, although the operator also offers Finland, Greenland, Lapland, the Faroe Islands, Russia and Iceland.

Taber Holidays will not completely disappear but Scandinavia Only will be the name on all branding and advertising. The operator is also reviewing

brochure distribution, having not issued a winter brochure this year. “Fewer agents were requesting a brochure. We were not always guaranteed racking space,” said Taber-Shaw. The operator gets 68% of its business through agents and plans to add an agent login on

its site next September. scandinaviaonly.co.uk
