Contiki has introduced four itineraries around the Adriatic Sea in its 2017-18 brochure.

The escorted tours specialist for

18 to 35-year-olds offers a 15-day Adriatic Unearthed tour that takes in the Amalfi coast, Bari, Plitvice Lakes, Dubrovnik, Venice, Rome and Corfu. Travellers can start and end their trip in Rome, from £1,689, or in Split, from £1,699.

CHEERS: Contiki’s new tours include visits to Venice

An Adriatic Horizons tour starts

from £919, while Adriatic Spirit is from £955. Both are for eight days.

The Horizons itinerary takes

a clockwise route from Rome, visiting Florence, Venice, Ljubljana, Plitvice Lakes and Split; and the Spirit itinerary heads anti- clockwise from Split taking in Dubrovnik, Tirana, Corfu, Bari, the Amalfi coast and ending in Rome. Donna Jeavons, Contiki sales and

marketing director for the UK and Europe, said: “Our exciting new Adriatic trips bring together iconic favourites like Italy and the Greek islands, with sites of breathtaking beauty, such as Plitvice Lakes in Croatia, plus off-the-beaten-track experiences in eastern Europe and some truly stunning coastlines.” The four new Adriatic itineraries

are part of Contiki’s In-Depth Explorer trips and feature experiences such as visiting Unesco World Heritage Sites at the Bay of Kotor and Plitvice Lakes plus guided walking tours through cities

such as Venice, Florence and Rome. contiki.com
