through our advisory panels. It is really important that our travel partners feel we are easy to do business with and we strive to build on our positive relationships on an ongoing basis. We recently revealed the further strengthening of our northern Europe and MEA operations with the appointment of Jeremy McKenna to head of sales for UK. Jeremy has a tremendous amount of experience and his knowledge of the industry enhances the team to better serve our partners. Plus we have Norwegian Star visiting ports around the UK and Ireland later this year, giving agents across the land a chance to get a taste of what it is like to ‘Feel Free’ on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship.

Q. Who will be representing you on the night? A. We will be well represented with a full table including Jeremy McKenna and Karen Kundi, our partnership relations manager.

Q. Will you be promoting any particular products or services around the event in July? A. Next year is going to be a busy year for us, with five ships sailing in European waters as well as our much-anticipated return to offering regular cruises from England. We can’t wait for Norwegian Jade’s return to begin its regular cruises from Southampton and welcome

customers keen to experience the ultimate in freedom and flexibility with ex-UK sailings. Norwegian Getaway, the second-newest ship in our fleet, will also be back to Europe for the first time since its delivery in 2014.

Q. What’s your top tip for an agent attending the AAAs for the first time this year? A. Have fun! The night is all about you so make sure you enjoy it and celebrate how great the travel industry is. You will meet some brilliant people so get networking and start to build some relationships. The AAAs is an amazing night!

Q. What are your standout memories of previous AAAs? A. The AAAs is a must- attend event and the team really enjoy mixing with and honouring the very best in the industry. The strength, depth and sheer number of agents in the room last year really blew us all away. It just shows how relevant and important travel agents are.

Q. How do you see the future for the agency sector – in the short-term and long-term? A. The future for the travel agency sector is looking really strong, with more customers looking for a personalised service. There are going

to be some challenges to overcome and the industry will need to adapt to changing consumer requirements as well as the rapid advancements in digital technology to stay strong. I am very confident in what lies ahead and the amount of innovation that we have seen introduced in the past year just shows what we can do with the talent that we have.

Q. What song is guaranteed to get you on the dancefloor at the AAA after-party? A. I am a big Beatles fan – so hopefully the DJ will have a selection of the classics!
