Fred Olsen brings out first AmaWaterways brochure

Fred Olsen Travel has released its first dedicated AmaWaterways brochure, despite the river cruise line’s decision to end its partnership with Fred Olsen as its general sales agent. The 2017 brochure features
17 European sailings, including cruises on the Rhine and Danube, and in Bordeaux. The programme
also features new vessel AmaKristina which, like sister ships AmaViola and AmaStella, has interconnecting staterooms. Fred Olsen Travel will continue
to represent AmaWaterways in the UK until September 1, when the line intends to have its own office up and running. After this date, the East
Anglia-based agency chain will continue to work with the line as a preferred partner. Fred Olsen Travel’s Fred River
Cruise sub-brand will continue to package AmaWaterways sailings that can still be booked by agents. Steve Williams, managing

MSC secures private slice of Abu Dhabi island for passengers
MSC Cruises has signed a deal to give its passengers exclusive access to an area of Sir Bani Yas Island, off the coast of Abu Dhabi, for the line’s winter 2016-17 itineraries. From December, MSC Fantasia
will add the island to its itineraries and guests will spend a day there. The line said it had been
