Website and Merchandise Expansion Last year also saw the revamping of the Friesian Sporthorse Association’s website (www.FriesianSporthorseAssociation.com) and an explosive increase in the number of people following the Friesian Sporthorse Association’s official Facebook page. The variety of FSA apparel and merchandise available on the website also continued to expand and attracted shoppers from around the world.


Growth of the Registry Friesian/Warmblood and Friesian/Thoroughbred crosses continue to make up the majority of Friesian Sporthorse regis- trations (these horses are entered into the FSA’s Main Book), but 2016 also saw increases in the registration of Auxiliary Book, Foundation Book and Certificate of Pedigree horses.


Stallion Approvals for 2016 Two new stallions were provisionally approved for breeding in 2016: Twisted Black and Malachi. Twisted Black is a pinto Main Book Elite Friesian Sporthorse stallion owned and bred by Dale and Kim Dornbier. His sire is the Elite Friesian stallion Begherra and his dam is the Elite/Preferred Friesian Sport- horse mare Sarai. Malachi is a Foundation Book Elite Friesian stallion owned by Rachel Blaney and bred by Hidden Promise Sporthorses. His sire is the Friesian stallion Feike 395 and his dam is the Ster Friesian mare Marije Ant.
