New Alexandra Theatre A brand new management team is now at the helm of one of Birmingham’s leading entertainment venues, the New Alexandra Theatre. Lisa Mart is now general manager
at the Station Street theatre, with Becky Charles taking the position of deputy general manager. Both Becky and Lisa have also
gained places on the ATG Leadership Development programme. Lisa said: “I am hugely excited to
be taking the role as general manager at the New Alexandra Theatre, and to continuing ATG’s commitment to bringing world class theatre to Birmingham. “This is an exciting time to be a
part of the country’s second city, and our aim is to bring the venue back in to the community.”
Drayton Manor Park Drayton Manor Park has appointed Lisa Cook as its new sales manager. Lisa has extensive experience
from corporate events management to new business recruitment. During a successful nine years at
the ICC Birmingham, she secured £4 million of business in one year, the highest gross sales on record, ultimately proving her driven work ethic. Having worked for international
venues like the NEC Birmingham and EBS she is well versed in events of all sizes and will be a valued addition to the team. Lisa’s new role will be to oversee
sales in the park and at the hotel as well as managing her own sales targets.
Steven Baker with Lodders’ residential team
Lodders Midlands law firm Lodders has appointed partner Steven Baker as the new head of its residential property team. Steven joined Lodders in 2005 and has been a partner at the firm
since 2007. Most recently he has focused on residential and commercial
property advice, acting for a wide range of clients on sales, purchases, property funding, landlord and tenant matters, and related business advice. Lodders residential property team operates from both its Stratford
and Cheltenham offices, and advises private individuals on home or investment property sales, purchases, mortgages, gifts of property, tenancies and leasehold enfranchisement, and acts for companies, partnerships, farmers, charities and trustees. The team includes partner Alison Wacey, associate and licensed
conveyancer Rachel Philips, one of Lodders’ most recent hires, Sophia Khan, who joined last month, Graduate Legal Executive Holly Kennett, Chartered Legal Executive Lisa Podmore, and residential property specialist Karen Bridges.

Wakemans Wakemans, one of Europe’s leading privately owned construction cost and property consultants, has announced further promotions at board level. In the latest changes John
Woodhall becomes executive chairman and joint managing Director, Dean Watson is joint managing director and Michelle Woodhall takes on the role of finance director and company secretary. The promotions follow significant changes to the senior management team announced in June. The new roles will enable John
Woodhall to place greater emphasis on the commercial and strategic development of the business and Dean Watson to focus on the delivery of Wakemans professional services.

Ansons Solicitors Ansons Solicitors, in Staffordshire, have appointed Mark Buttery as their head of family department. Mark, who joins from Cutler
Buttery Solicitors, will be heading the family team across all offices. As a resolution accredited family
lawyer and a mediator with over 25 years of experience in advising clients on all family law matters, Mark has earned himself a reputation for his ability to manage any case, no matter how complex. Managing director Andrew Johnson said: “We are delighted that Mark has agreed to join us and head up our family team. “The wealth and depth of his
experience in highly complex and high value cases will strengthen our family team’s offering across all of our offices.”

WSP/Parsons Brinckerhoff A trio of senior appointments have been made at the Birmingham office of professional services consultancy WSP/Parsons Brinckerhoff, including an award- winning female rail consultant. Carol Stitchman has joined the
company as a technical director for the rail division, bringing with her more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. Carol is joined by an associate in
the highways and bridges department. Swadesh Mukherjee has more than two decades’ experience working in design team leader and project manager roles. Joining Swadesh in highways
and bridges is senior engineer Simon Edwards, who has been working on the Friargate Bridge project.
Zodiac (Astroluxe Ltd) Birmingham-based catering equipment and housewares distributor Zodiac (Astroluxe Ltd) have appointed John Burman (pictured) as managing director, to succeed Wilson Lee, who is retiring. Zodiac is the distributor of
Sunnex brand of catering equipment in the UK and parts of Europe. The company, still based at its
original premises in Selly Oak, celebrated its 40th year in the catering industry last year. John has worked at Zodiac for
30 years, and said: “I was delighted to have been offered the role by the board. Wilson will be a hard act to follow but taking responsibility of Zodiac is a great honour. Using my experience and knowledge, plans are already in place to further move the company forward.”
