Victoria welcomed as president
Victoria Lineton has taken over as president of Future Faces, replacing long serving Adam Maguire. The change at the top took place at Future
Faces’ annual general meeting at the Park Regis, an event which also celebrated the organisation’s fifth birthday. New president Victoria, who is a bid advisor at
law firm Mills & Reeve, will be supported by three vice-presidents, Evelyn Hichens of business consultant Carney Green, Hayley Porter of Deutsche Bank, and Sian Averill, who works at John Taylor Hospice. Victoria has been vice-president on the Future
Faces committee for the last two years. She joined the committee as a solicitor specialising in commercial litigation, but has recently made an internal move within Mills & Reeve to the marketing and business development team, where she works as a bid advisor. She said: “I am very much looking forward to
building on last year’s success to bring our members another exciting and inspiring programme of events. Future Faces exists to support its members, so am I keen to listen to the useful feedback from last year’s very well received events programme to ensure that we deliver relevant and valued content for our diverse membership. “Those events will of course be supplemented
by our popular relaxed networking opportunities, which allow our members to make valuable connections in a more informal setting.” “I am looking forward to working with the
wider Chamber team and the Future Faces Patrons to strengthen our presence in the city

and the region. It’s a great time to be living and developing a career in the region, so we are keen to help our members make the most of the opportunities that are out there. ”
‘I am committed to working with the refreshed, dynamic committee and the wider Chamber to find exciting new ways to inspire our members’
“I am absolutely thrilled to be taking the reins
for the Future Faces year ahead. Having been involved for the past two years, I have seen the organisation grow in confidence and become a 'go-to' organisation for young professions across a huge number of sectors. “I am committed to working with the
refreshed, dynamic committee and the wider Chamber to find exciting new ways to inspire our members as well as opportunities for training and development that really work for them.” Outgoing president Adam Maguire has been
made Future Faces honorary chair, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the organisation over the years. He said: “This year has been an extremely
exciting one in which to be president. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly time flies. The growth of Future Faces, not only during my presidency but over the last few years, has been incredible. “We have hosted our second annual dinner and awards after the success of last year’s event,
which saw 40 per cent growth in attendance on year one, raised a record amount for this year’s president’s charity, and undergone a rebrand which has seen the organisation become a Chamber of Commerce in its own right after five successful years. “We have also launched our leadership
development series which brought together key business leaders, Future Faces members and the Young Institute of Directors to provide unparalleled insight into the experiences and expertise of influential and successful individuals from across the region.” Chamber chief executive Paul Faulkner said
Adam’s commitment to the organisation had been ‘admirable’. He also praised the development of the organisation itself, and said: “All of us at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce are incredibly proud of Future Faces and the way that the organisation is continuing to develop and grow. “The group offers young professionals across
all sectors and the entire region an organisation that not only adds value to their careers and day jobs through the range of activities and services that it puts on, but is also something that they can get actively involved in and shape themselves. “In fact, that involvement and sense of
ownership lies at the heart of what we want Future Faces to be, and why it works.” The AGM also welcomed new committee members Hayley Porter, Myles Jones, Maya Kainth and James Taylor, who have taken over from Alice Price, Karen Kaur and Chris Pile (who has been vice president for the past two years).
