YPI Update—Miranda Muir, Chair YPI Ready for 2017 Convention
The Young Professionals Committee is al- ready working hard and looking ahead to our 2017 Florida Federation of Fairs Convention. As they did in 2016, the group will focus on community service, continuing to offer FFF Member Fairs and Associates the opportunity to earn one of two $500 community service grants, while also hosting another charity drive.
Young Professionals (40 and under) organizing and promoting a com-
munity service project in your area, are eligible to apply for a communi- ty service grant. It is our hope that with additional funding, groups can continue their efforts and make an impact in the community they serve. Applications for our YPI Community Service Grants can be found on the FFF’s website and should be turned in before April 3, 2017. This year’s charity drive will benefit the Harbor House in Orlando.
This organization is committed to preventing and protecting victims of domestic abuse. Providing emergency services for those in trouble ac- counts for almost 50% of what they do, but they also provide children’s services, legal assistance, community outreach, and more. The home is always in need of cash donations, but also requests items such as; new women’s underwear (all sizes), bars of soap and body wash, towels, hand towels, and face cloths, deodorant, strollers, baby bottles, toddler cups, diapers (sizes 4, 5, and 6), twin-sized bedding, pillows and pillow cases, plastic bed covers, silverware, and suitcases. All items will be collected at the YPI Table during the 2017 Florida Federations of Fairs Convention. For more information regarding the Harbor House, please visit their website,
www.harborhousefl.com.

menting their Guinea Pig Project and introducing young students to the world of agriculture.
The community service programs have received the tremendous sup-
port of the FFF Board of Directors and Membership and the YPI Com- mittee could not be more appreciative. With your continued support, we will continue making a difference in the lives of those we meet. For more information regarding the YPI Committee or the charitable pro- grams they support, please feel free to contact Miranda Muir at miran-
