Forthcoming Events

By Keith Nicol

It’s that special time of year when it’s OK to dress up outrageously away from the golf course, dance in the streets, get out your your broomstick, burn effigies in the back garden and let off a few fireworks. Yes, Halloween is at the end of the month, followed by a public holiday on November 1st for All Saints Day, so it’s all a bit of good fun.

Zenia Boulevard is going to welcome The King on Sunday 23rd October at 6pm as Pastor Roy from the Torrevieja Christian Fellowship brings his ninety minute show, complete with back-up singers to the stage. And while Roy does not

get dressed up in a tight jumpsuit and don a jet black wig, if you close your eyes and listen, it could be the King himself up there, performing for you one of his many award winning and million selling Gospel songs, for which Elvis won three grammy awards.

Elvis recorded more than 50 Gospel songs during his career and some of the songs receiving the gospel treatment on Sunday include: Crying In The Chapel, An American Trilogy, I Believe, The Wonder Of You, Put Your Hand In The Hand Of The Man From Galilee, Joshua Fit The Battle Of Jericho, Amazing Grace, You’ll Never Walk Alone, etc. The total number of songs is about 25 for you to enjoy while shopping or enjoying a relaxing libation.
