Vincent Fabre HydraForce


Vincent, aged 25, began working for HydraForce in 2014 after completing a Masters degree in Mechanics. While working for a supplier in his native France, he undertook a four-week placement at HydraForce before gaining a job as a manufacturing engineer. After just nine months he earned a promotion to a newly-created manufacturing development engineer role.

Raj Patel Vanti


Raj, aged 30, started Vanti during the second year of his Electrical, Electronic and Interactive Systems Engineering degree at the University of Birmingham. What began as a venture between Raj and his course-mates quickly grew into a profitable company, which now lists UBM, Tottenham Hotspur and the Canary Wharf Group as clients.

Phil Hutchinson Mills & Reeve


Phil is a commercial litigation and sports lawyer at law firm Mills & Reeve LLP. In addition to representing both national and global companies in their litigious affairs, he also acts for high- profile sports individuals, clubs and organisations. A seven-month secondment at a leading luxury automotive manufacturer has also enabled the 26-year-old from Sutton Coldfield to gain significant experience in the automotive sector

Sarah Bennett Deutsche Bank


Sarah has worked within operations at Deutsche Bank Birmingham for seven years. During that time she has successfully secured two promotions, the second of which saw her become vice president. She currently oversees global markets equity operations and asset management, developing her team and managing risks and controls within the operational processes.


Joanna Maguire Mott MacDonald


In her role as a civil engineer at Mott MacDonald, Joanna was involved in the recent extension of the Midland Metro line – a project that brought trams into Birmingham city centre for the first time in 60 years. The 25-year-old from Sutton Coldfield regularly gives presentations to try and inspire more people to pursue careers in engineering.


Hayley Porter Deutsche Bank


Hayley joined Deutsche Bank in October 2015 as an operations lead in global markets operations. She has more than seven years’ experience in the financial services industry, having previously held leadership roles while developing her technical knowledge and expertise. She is committed to CSR initiatives across Birmingham, working as a literacy coach for Key Stage 3 school children and a volunteer at SIFA Fireside drop in centre.


Beth Farminer Deutsche Bank


Beth has been a member of Deutsche Bank’s Birmingham team for seven years. In her business management role, Beth – who has a Master’s degree in Engineering Management - helps to help develop, report and communicate clear business objectives and targets, providing the leadership team with regular and accurate management information and governance reporting.
