ShanePowell DeniseGallagherMemorial Scholarship


Shane Powell currently takes classes atWestern ArkansasBallet andwill soon graduate high school.After graduation, he hopes to join OklahomaCityBallet’s performance company. After a career in dance, Shane plans to become a costume designer for a pre-professional company once the opportunity presents itself.


VishruthiRamaswamy Arathi School ofDance Scholarship


VishruthiRamaswamy has studiedBharanatyam for eleven years under the tutelage ofGowri Ramaswamy at Sampradaya PerformingArts. She would like to further her studies in this artistic dis- cipline, and eventually performtraditional art styles among her peers.With her scholarship, she plans to attend a summerworkshop hosted by ICHF to fine tune her technique.


EvelynRobinson Nadine LegereMemorial Scholarship


EvelynRobinson is 14 and attends Tyler Junior CollegeAcademy ofDance. She has studied ballet andmodern for 11 years. She competed at Youth AmericaGrand Prix in 2015, placing 1st


and contemporary. In 2016 she placed in the Top 12 in classical and 3rd


featured inOn Pointe! Chasing PerfectionMagazine in 2015. This summer shewill attend the inten- sive atNorthCarolina School of theArts.


Emily Schmukal NitaBraunMemorial Scholarship


Emily Schmukal, age 15, attendsHeritage ChristianAcademy inRockwall, Texas. She has been dancing for the past 13 years, and is current- ly training atCKStudio.Most recently, she has developed a love for tap and has performedwith companies including TheDrawbacks,Rhythmic Souls,Hyperfeet, and TheHoofin’Crew.Emily will attend a tap dance intensive this summer.


Maggie Schoenfeld BurklynBalletTheatre Scholarship


Maggie Schoenfeld enters her sophomore year of high school this fall. She has trained atWestern ArkansasBallet formany years, and is a four year member of the school’s company.After attending BurklynBallet Theatre’s threeweek summer pro- gramin 2015, her love for summer training grew. With her scholarship, shewill return toBurklyn Ballet Theatre this summer for fiveweeks.

Madeleine Selby Joyce SeaborneBader Scholarship


Madeleine Selbywill be a junior atBooker T WashingtonHSPVAthis fall,where she studies ballet,modern, and contemporary dance.Recently, she attended aworkshop hosted byBillHostings with theManhattanDance Project,where she dis- covered her passion for hip hop.With her scholar- ship, she plans to continue to expand her appreci- ation for all dance styles.


Anastacia Snyder Kittie LaPointeMemorial Scholarship


Anastacia Snyder has been studying ballet for the last five years atBruce LeaDance Factory and BalletCenter of FortWorth. She competed at YouthAmericaGrand Prix in 2015 and 2016 and placed in the top twelve both years.With her scholarship, she plans to attend theAmerican Ballet Theater summer intensive inNewYork.


AngelWarden-Palmer Amber Strauser Scholarship


AngelWarden-Palmer, age 15, studies dance at TheDallasConservatory and atGrand Prairie Fine ArtsAcademy.Recently, shewas selected as one of the top twelve dancers at the YouthAmerica Grand Prix competition.Angelwill use herDCNT scholarship to attend the Joffrey Jazz and Contemporary summer intensive in either NewYork or LosAngeles.


TabathaWooten MargaretRylattTap Scholarship


TabathaWooten is 18 years old and has been dancing since shewas a baby at her family’s studio. She began student teaching at 12 and at 15, taught her own classes, among them: creative movement, hip hop, tap, jazz, and clogging. Tabatha has been amember ofDanceCouncil’s TheHoofin’Crewfor the past six years.With her scholarship, shewill travel out of state to attend various tap festivals.


KristenWright BethWortleyBallet Scholarship


KristenWright is 17 years old and currently trains atBalletAcademy of Texas. She has competed in the YouthAmericaGrand Prix competition for the past 5 years and has placed in the Top 12 in both junior and senior divisions.With her scholarship, shewill attend the JoffreyBallet summer inten- sive inChicago to continue to refine her technique and artistry.
