MichaelGarciawill be a senior atBooker T Washington this fall. In addition to being amem- ber ofRepertoryCompany I,Michael also studies atDance Industry PerformingArts.He loves being able toworkwith numerous teachers and chore- ographers. This summer he pursued intensive dance training. Since age 8,Michael has always wanted to pursue a career in dance in an educa- tional setting orwith a professional company.


MishaGlouchkova Cindy’sDayBallet Scholarship


MishaGlouchkova is 16 years oldanda sophomore atGatewayCollegePreparatorySchool inRoundRock, Texas.Shehasbeenstudying ballet since age 3 andperformswith MetamorphosisDanceSchool’spre-professional company.Eachsummer, shehas furtheredher training at various intensiveprograms.Mishaused herDCNTScholarshipto attendMiamiCityBallet’s Summer Intensive.


MaddisonGoodman Denton City Contemporary Scholarship


MaddisonGoodman has been dancingwithNew BernBallet inNewBern,NorthCarolina since she was in kindergarten. In addition she volunteers as an assistant inNewBern preschool through inter- mediate dance classes and rehearsals.Maddison hopes to be invited to attend The School of AmericanBallet year-round programto prepare to audition forNewYorkCityBallet.


CarlyGreene GloriaWhetstoneMemorial Scholarship


CarlyGreene has been attending theBallet Conservatory in Lewisville, TXfor the past nine years. She also performswith LakeCitiesBallet Theatre. In the past, she has attendedHouston Ballet summer intensive, aswell as the School of AmericanBallet’s summer program.With her scholarship shewill be returning to the School of AmericanBallet this summer.


SheridanGuerin SouthDallasDance Festival Scholarship


SheridanGuerin, age 16, began her ballet training at the age of 12. She studies atBalletAcademy of Texas and is also a companymember ofBallet Ensemble of Texas. This summer herDCNT Scholarship helped her attend theAmerican Ballet Theatre’s summer intensive inNewYork for the third year in a row.

RileyHammett Gene PhlugTap Scholarship


RileyHammett has been dancingwith MomentumDance since 2008 and has received numerous awards. She has also performedwith theDrawbacks Youth TapEnsemble,Rhythmic Souls YouthResidency, andHyperfeet Youth Tap Ensemble.Her goal is to one day use her passion for tap to performinmusical theatre productions.


EmmaHay Buster Cooper Jazz Scholarship


EmmaHay, age 14, began dancing at the age of 2, and performed in her first recital at age 3.At age 7, she began to take gymnastic classes and later, musical theater.With a diversemixture of talents and concentrations,Emma hopes to become a well rounded dancer. In the future, shewill pursue a degree in dance in college and go on to teach.


BeLynnHollers YouthBallroom(Intl. Latin&Standard) Scholarship


BeLynnHollers, age 17, began her dance training four years ago in social ballroomdance. She then began competing in theCountryWestern division, winning threeACDANationalChampionships in the past 4 years.BeLynn hopes to compete at the UCWDCWorldChampionship, aswell as the ACDA’sNational championship in Pro-Am competitions.


EmilyHunter //GlendaBrown Choreography Project Choreography Scholarship


EmilyHunter began classical training inClinton, Oklahoma and gained performing experience withWesternOklahomaBallet Theatre. She completed herBFAinDance at theUniversity of Iowa in 2003. She danced professionallywith BruceWoodDance Project and TexasDance Theatre.Emily teaches ballet,modern, and Zumba in theDFWarea, andwill begin her third year of teaching atBooker T.WashingtonHSPVAthis fall.


Sydney James Amber Strauser Scholarship


Sydney James began dancing at the age of 7, training in ballet, tap, lyrical, jazz and hip-hop. She developed her choreographic skills by teach- ing tap and hip-hopwhen therewas a need for a substitute teacher at her studio. This summer, Sydneywill attend theAlvinAiley summer pro- gramwhere she hopes one day tomake hermark in the danceworld.
