ToddBaker is a student atBooker T.Washington HSPVA, and is entering his senior year.Outside of school, he trains atDance Industry Performing ArtsCenter. Todd hopes to pursue aBachelor of FineArts degree in dance and after graduation join a professional companywith a contemporary focus.
GabrielleBejerano Darryl Sneed Scholarship
GabrielleBejerano, fromWylie, Texas, currently attends theUniversity ofNorthCarolina School of theArts (UNCSA),majoring in ballet. Previously she trained at TuzerBallet, TexasBallet Theater School and theRoyaleBalletDanceAcademy. Some ofGabrielle’s accomplishments include competing in YouthAmericaGrand Prixwhere she frequentlywas included in the final round.
VictoriaBiro TexieWatermanMemorial Scholarship
VictoriaBiro, fromFlowerMound, Texas, current- ly attendsBooker T.WashingtonHSPVA,where she is amember ofRepertoryDanceCompany I. She began dancingwhen shewas three years old and has grown into an accomplished singer and
actress.After college she hopes performon Broadway and then later dancewith a contempo- rary ballet company.
NathanBowen DeniseGallagherMemorial Scholarship
NathanBowen trained for the past seven years at BalletConservatory in Lewisville, Texaswhere his dancing earned himmultiple awards at the com- petition
level.Nathan’s love for the arts also extends to the theaterworld,where he has played characters such asBert in TheActing Studio’s Mary Poppins in 2015, and TommyDjilas inDallas SummerMusical’s TheMusicMan in 2013.
JaredBrown Charles Santos Scholarship
JaredBrown, a graduate ofBooker T.Washington HSPVA, performedwithRepertoryDance Company I inmanyworks byworld re-known choreographers.He also dancedwithDallasBlack Dance Theater’sAllegro PerformingEnsemble. This fall Jared is attending The Juilliard School on full scholarshipwhile he pursues aBachelor of FineArts in dance.

ImaniButler TomAdams Scholarship
ImaniButler enters her junior year as a student at Booker T.WashingtonHSPVAthis fall.During the summer she enjoyed attending dance intensives including:DebbieAllenDanceAcademy, Joffrey Jazz andContemporary Summer Intensive and the JoffreyExperience Summer Intensive. Imani hopes to carry her passion for the arts into college as she seeks a degree in dance.
HelenaCerny Kathleen CunninghamClassicalBallet Scholarship
HelenaCerny, fifteen years old, trains atBallet Academy of Texas inCoppell,
Texas.Recently she competed in the YouthAmericanGrand Prix Ballet competitionwhere shewon the highest YouthGrand PrixAward in the JuniorCategory. Helena hopes tomove toNewYorkCity in the near future and become amember ofAmerican Ballet Theatre.
AmeyaChavda Indian CulturalHeritage Foundation Scholarship
AmeyaChavda has been dancing since age 4, beginningBharatanatyamat age 5. She has stud- ied folk dancing formany yearswithBela Vasavada
atNrutyashalaAcademy.Ameyamodels the universality of dance through her fusion of traditional Indian dancewithWestern sounds and rhythms.Her goal in the future is to introduce Indian culture to asmany people as possible.
KadeCummings George SkibineMemorial Scholarship for aMaleDancer
KadeCummingswill be a senior atBooker T. WashingtonHSPVAthis fall.His training began at age 4when hismother enrolled himin gymnastic classes.He later began training in classical ballet, using the skills fromgymnastics to strengthen his dancing.Kade has attendedmultipleRegional DanceAmerica festivals throughout the years and hopes to continue his dance studies at an institution of higher learning.
SamanthaDoyle GlendaBrown ChoreographyProject Scholarship
SamanthaDoyle is 17 years old and a senior at AllenHigh School inAllen, TX. She has attended theAcademy ofDanceArts for the past 9 years where she is amember ofDallasRepertoireBallet. She has attendedmany summer programs, and last summer performed at Young! Tanzsommer’s “Stars of Tomorrow” dance festival inAustria. With her scholarship, Samanthawill continue furthering her training as a dancer this summer.
