Cricket, lovely cricket… Chamber members are being urged to take advantage of special discount prices for two mouth-watering international clashes on the way to Edgbaston. Commerce were treated to a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes at Birmingham’s Investec Test Match venue when they were addressed by Chief Executive Neil Snowball during a recent visit. A total of 90 Chamber members attended and
heard Neil’s views on Edgbaston’s £32 million redevelopment programme, future international cricket schedules, and the club’s community work.

ABCC awards now
open for business Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) has opened nominations for its 29th annual awards, which will include new categories. The awards will be presented at a glittering
event at the International Convention Centre on 19 November. The three new categories are: start-up of
the year, small business, and large business. The other three categories which have been retained are: woman of the year, customer service and contribution to society. ABCC president Saqib Bhatti said the decision
to introduce new categories had been made because it was felt that the six better reflected the current membership of the organisation. The deadline for the awards is 9 September. Entry forms can be found at the Chamber website:
