Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) is holding an event to celebrate the festival of Eid ul-Fitr, also known as the Feast of Breaking the Fast, an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. booking exhibition space at the event. This is available for members at £150 + VAT, and £300 + VAT for non-members. Space is limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The event is otherwise free for members,

and £30 + VAT for non-members and Future Faces members. Members are entitled to two free of charge places per company, with additional places charged at £20 +VAT.

Equilibrium Security is holding a ‘cybercrime’ workshop at the Chamber on 22 September at Chamber House. The firm says that every 10 minutes

malware is downloaded and every nine minutes a risky web application is used – and 90 per cent of large businesses and 74 per cent of small businesses suffered a data breach in the last year. The firm believes that this costs

organisations between £75,000 - £311,000 to deal with. The event will be followed by a networking session. The event, at Chamber House, 75 Harborne Road, Edgbaston, starts at 8.30am and is free for members and £25 + VAT for non-members.

Councillor engages with the community

Birmingham City Council leader John Clancy (pictured) is guest speaker at an event at Moor Hall Hotel, Sutton, on 7 July. Cllr Clancy took over the running of the council from Sir Albert Bore last December 2015 and is

keen to engage with the business community. In his two spells at the council, Cllr Clancy has been an active member of several key committees, including education scrutiny, regeneration scrutiny, public protection and planning. At the Moor Hall event he will be speaking about the progress and developments that have been

taking place within the council and also talk about the newly reformed Sutton Coldfield Town Council. The event starts at midday and is free for members and £25 + VAT for non-members.
